Xerocon Denver 2026 at the Colorado Convention Center
Xerocon Denver 2026 was one of the largest and most visually dynamic conferences our team has ever photographed. Held at the Colorado Convention Center, the multi-day event brought together accounting and bookkeeping professionals, technology partners and Xero leaders for a conference built around education, innovation and connection. Xero describes Xerocon as its flagship conference, but after experiencing it firsthand, we understand why it has earned the nickname “Disneyland for accountants.”
Our team provided both conference photography and event video production throughout Xerocon, capturing everything from keynote presentations and breakout sessions to the expo hall, sponsor booths, attendee interactions, activations and evening events.
A High-Energy Start to Xerocon
Xerocon didn’t ease into the conference. The opening program on the main stage began with a high-energy dance performance before transitioning into presentations from Xero leadership and other speakers. The massive video screens, colorful lighting and large-scale production created an impressive environment and set the tone for the conference.
Over the next several days, we covered keynote speakers along with breakout sessions happening throughout the Colorado Convention Center. With multiple stages and sessions occurring simultaneously, our team worked throughout the venue to create a complete visual story of the conference.
The final keynote featured tennis legend Andre Agassi, giving us the opportunity to photograph one of the most recognizable athletes in the world on the Xerocon stage.
An Expo Hall Designed to Be Experienced
The expo hall was one of the highlights of Xerocon and one of the most elaborate conference environments we have photographed. This wasn’t a traditional trade show floor filled with rows of booths. Xero transformed the space into a colorful, immersive environment filled with creative installations, sponsor experiences and activities.
From a trade show photography perspective, there was an incredible amount to capture. Wide photographs showed the scale and design of the expo hall, while tighter images documented sponsor branding, conversations, demonstrations and attendees participating in the different experiences.
Creative Activations Throughout Xerocon
One of the things that made Xerocon so distinctive was the number of interactive activations throughout the expo hall.
The Parlor offered airbrush tattoos, while The Paint Shop featured manicures designed to match each attendee’s color type. Guests could make s’mores and trail mix, create their own custom hats or head over to one of two pickleball courts to play and get instruction.
There was even a LEGO installation that continued to grow over the course of the conference.
These experiences are a great example of why brand experience photography is such an important part of conference coverage. Photographing the finished installations is valuable, but capturing people actually interacting with them shows what it felt like to attend the event.
The bold colors throughout Xerocon also created a strong visual identity. Retro-inspired gas stations, parks, colorful activity areas and creative signage turned the Colorado Convention Center expo hall into something completely different from a typical conference environment.
Capturing the People Behind the Conference
With an event this large, it would be easy to concentrate primarily on stages, signage and elaborate environments. But the people are ultimately what bring a conference to life.
Throughout Xerocon, we photographed attendees networking, exhibitors interacting with guests, speakers on stage, audience reactions, award winners and groups enjoying the conference together.
These candid moments help balance the large-scale photographs and give Xero a library of images that communicates both the impressive production and the community that filled it. That’s an important part of our approach to corporate event photography—creating a collection that tells the complete story rather than simply documenting a checklist of scheduled moments.
Photography and Videography at the Colorado Convention Center
Large conferences present a very different challenge from smaller corporate events. Multiple things are happening simultaneously, often across a large venue, and photographers and videographers need to move between keynote stages, breakout rooms, expo spaces and activations without disrupting the attendee experience.
Our experience photographing events at the Colorado Convention Center was especially valuable for Xerocon. The scale of the venue and number of concurrent activities meant our team needed to coordinate coverage carefully so the final collection represented the entire conference rather than just its biggest moments.
Providing both photography and video also allowed us to tell the story in different ways. While we created a comprehensive still-image library, our video team captured the movement, sound and energy of Xerocon through professional event videography. We even had an editor on-site to produce video that was available immediately at the end of the conference.
From Xerocon to the Wrap Party
After the conference at the Colorado Convention Center, Xerocon finished with a wrap party at Mile High Station and Ironworks.
The party carried the same commitment to creativity as the conference itself, but with an entirely different look. The evening had a high school varsity theme complete with cheerleaders, letter jackets, school-inspired décor and plenty of orange and blue.
Guests arrived ready to celebrate, and the atmosphere quickly shifted from conference networking to a full-scale party. A live band performed rock songs from the past 20–30 years while attendees enjoyed one final night together.
Photographing the wrap party gave us the opportunity to capture an entirely different side of Xerocon—from guests coming through a cheerleader entrance to candid interactions, entertainment and live music.
One of Denver’s Biggest Conference Experiences
Xerocon was a great example of just how creative a large corporate conference can be. The combination of professional education, major keynote speakers, immersive environments, interactive activations, a vibrant expo hall and a themed closing party created an event that felt more like an experience than a traditional business conference.
For Elevate Business Photography, it was also one of the largest events we have had the opportunity to capture. Providing photography and videography throughout Xerocon allowed our team to document everything from the enormous scale of the Colorado Convention Center to the smallest details of an activation—and, most importantly, the people experiencing it all.
